Disassembling the print head to unclog the filament.
The following a step by step process of dismantling the printhead to unclog a filament.
Ensure that the machine is turned off when performing this operation.
Step 1 - remove the blue clip securing the bowden tube
Step 2 - unscrew the fanshroud
Step 4 - remove the thumbscrews
Step 5 - Remove the metal "hot-end holder from the thumbscrews.
Step 6 - Inspect the hot-end holder from above to see if there are any residue that can be removed using a pair of pliers/tweezers.
Step 7 if that fails, then you have to unscre the top of the hot end. When unscrewing the head, Ensure that you put some pressure on the head so that the components doesn't fly about when you release the sping within the hot-end.
I this case we found a small piece of filament that was blocking the PTFE hot end isolator.
Additionally what cause the jam in the bowden tube is that the tip of the filament had a small bulb wider than the 3mm filament, which got stuck at the tip of the bowden tube towards the print head.
